Android Actually is Better than iPhone, See Why!

Android Updates Apple

Many people do not understand what Android is and why Android phones are usually better than the Apple iPhone.

Android is a general operating system that has been around for many years and you can find phone that are 5 years old running android. If you take a 5 year old Android phone and compare it to the iPhone 5, yes, the iPhone will be so much faster.

But let us compare Apples to Oranges (or shall we say, Apple & Androids).

If we take the latest Android phone like a Samsung Galaxy S4 and compare it to a iPhone 5 you will see that Android has already far surpassed Apple.

Here are the main differences between the two phones:

iPhone 5 Android Galaxy S4
Memory Card Slot None microSD, up to 64 GB
CPU Dual-core 1.2 GHz Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15
Dimensions 4.87 x 2.31 x 0.30 in 5.38 x 2.75 x 0.31 in
Internal Memory 1 GB RAM 2 GB RAM
Primary Camera 8 MP, 3264×2448 pixels 13 MP, 4128 x 3096 pixels
Screen Size 4.0 inches 5.0 inches
Second Camera 1.2 MP, 720p@30fps 2 MP,1080p@30fps
SIM Nano-SIM Micro-SIM
Weight 112 g (3.95 oz) 130 g (4.59 oz)

The Samsung Galaxy with Android has a faster CPU, more memory, a better camera on both sides of the phone, and even comes with the ability to add a mini sd card. So instead of paying an extra $100 for more storage space on your iPhone, Android users can just pay $15 for a 32GB mini SD card from Amazon.

Android Apps are plentiful nowadays and your are not tied into using Apple specific software. Many apps that cost money in the Apple App Store are free on Google Play. Like the very popular chatting app called Whatsapp, Apple users must pay $1 and Android users get it free.

So if you really want the latest and greatest smartphone you are better off going with an Android that came  out last week. If you want the latest and greatest Apple then just go buy the one that has been sitting in Apples warehouse for the past 6 months.

Please share this with all uneducated smartphone users out there! You will save yourself much worthless arguments about which phone is the best!

We it quite amusing that giving the strong loyalty Android & Apple users have to their device type, that so many iPad users would simultaneously, and at the same time also be owners of an Android Device. As we drill down further, it should be an even bigger surprise that number 4 device on the list is none other than the iPhone itself!

The most common version of Android that visitors are using is now version 4.0.04, followed by 2.3, followed by version 2.1. The prior data from September showed most visitors still with Android 2.3.

Sony Xperia Mini Pro – The Ladies Phone

I went shopping for a new phone for my Mom. She needed something that had a keyboard because how can you type on a screen?

After much searching and comparing the various android options out there, I was recommended by a friend to check out Ericsson. I have not owned an Ericsson phone in close to 14 years. Not that I am married to Samsung, ZTE, Motorola, Blackberry or Nokia, I just thought that they were bankrupt!

The phone is small, much smaller than the large Samsung being sold nowadays. The camera has some really neat features like smile detection.

Here is the phone I bought. Click picture for latest price.

I bought the unlocked version for use overseas and it immediately started working with the overseas carrier.

And there you have it. The perfect combination keyboard, touch screen, not too big, not to small, lady like but not girly, powerful but not a tablet.

Now I need a nap.

Rumor – Samsung Galaxy S IV

Here is the latest rumor about the new Galaxy S IV.

We hear that the Galaxy S IV will launch in late February 2013, and will have inside Samsung’s Exynos 5450 chipset with a quad-core Cortex-A15 processor, and a 13MP camera.

A 13MP camera wouldn’t be crazy, but don’t get your hopes up. Samsung’s Galaxy Note II was also supposed to have a 13MP sensor, but the company went with the old 8MP sensor instead. Sony couldn’t make enough due to other phones that they had deals with. This time it may be different, and Samsung could be going all-in for 2013.

Besides the camera and chipset rumors, a few days ago it was mentioned that Samsung may be unveiling their own 5-inch 1080p smartphone display at CES 2013, in order to take on HTC. HTC was the first to launch a 5-inch 1080p screen. Rumors have it that Samsung’s 5-incher will be used in their Galaxy S IV.

We expect a powerhouse of a device with the Galaxy S IV, however, we will take these rumors likely until we hear more, hopefully at CES come January 2013.

They say that the Galaxy S IV will be officially revealed at Mobile World Congress but that happens in late February. However, Samsung has said that the February launch date for the Galaxy S4 are “not true,” so we’re not really sure when to expect the new phone.
